Carson, CA—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Tabletops Unlimited, Inc. has voluntarily recalled Castalon frying pans over burn hazards the product poses. The CPSC announced the recall on October 6, 2010, which affects about 1,500 frying pans.
The recall was initiated after discovering that the enamel coating of the pan can crackle and break off after a few uses, which can pose a burn hazard to users.

The pan was sold in a variety of colors and has model numbers: TTU9203, P9204, P9207, P9208, P9242, P9243, P9244, P9248, P9250, P9261, P9266, P9274, P9275, P9276 on the color sleeve packaging of the product. The models are correlated to pan colors.”
The recalled products were sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond and at Wegmans nationwide from May 2010 through September 2010. The frying pans sold for about $30.
