Jackson, TN– DeVilbiss Air Power Company and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have voluntarily recalled about 460,000 air compressors for fire hazards. The CPSC announced the product recall on February 3, 2011.

The CPSC enacted the recall after it was discovered that the air compressor motor can overheat, which can pose a fire hazard.

“The recalled compressors were sold under the Craftsman, Delta Shopmaster, DeVilbiss, Husky and Porter-Cable brand names. The model number and manufacture date on each unit is located on the unit name plate on the tank,” according to the CPSC press release.
