Wilmington, NC—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Nurses Choice Corp. have voluntarily recalled about 4,700 newborn keepsake mittens for choking hazards the product poses. The CPSC announced the product recall on February 15, 2011.
The product recall was initiated after discovering that the decorations on the mittens can be pulled off, which poses a choking hazard to babies.
“The infant mittens are made of white cotton. They have candy cane, teddy bear and “2011” decorations glued on one side,” reported the CPSC press release.
Consumers are advised to contact Nurses Choice to receive a free replacement.
For further information, consumers can contact Nurses Choice at (800) 747-7076 from Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, by e-mail to info@nurses-choice.com or visit their website at www.nurses-choice.com
