Study: 500,000 People Die Each Year From Smoking

04/01/2011 // Greensboro, NC, USA // Personal Injury Lawyers News // Nicole Howley

Smoking causes half a million deaths each year in the U.S., killing slightly more men than women, new statistics show…there are an average of about 290,000 smoking-related deaths in men each year between 2002 and 2006 and 230,000 in women – a total of over half a million deaths,” reported the Los Angeles Times. It amazes me that people still continue to smoke despite knowing the dangers associated with it.
