Norridge, IL — An accident at an indoor family amusement park in Chicago left a 3-year-old boy dead after falling out of a roller coaster. The fatal accident occurred on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Go Bananas amusement park, reported the Palm Beach Post.

According to police officials, Jayson Dansby of Dolton was sitting near the front of the Python Pit roller coaster, when he got underneath the ride’s safety bar and fell out while the ride was moving.

The Cook County medical examiner ruled the death an accident. Dansby sustained multiple injuries, including a head injury, in the fatal accident.

Authorities do believe Dansby met all of the ride’s requirements.

State inspectors are at the amusement park conducting a full investigation.
