Cooney of the law firm Cooney & Conway in Chicago has co-chaired the 2011 Asbestos Bankruptcy Conference, which will be holding a judicial roundtable on asbestos compensation. “Asbestos compensation-which has featured prominently in several recent bankruptcy cases-remains a significant and often difficult issue decades after the dangers of asbestos have been proven scientifically,” reported Cooney and Conway.
