Victims in Deadly I-95 Tour Bus Crash Identified; 20 Others Remain Hospitalized

Bowling Green, VA — The four fatally injured female passengers of a tour bus that overturned on I-95 in central Virginia have been identified by police. About 20 of the 53 people injured in the bus accident still remain hospitalized, reported CNN.

The deceased were identified as Karen Blyden-Decastro, 46, of Cambria Heights, New York; Sie Giok Giang, 63, of Philadelphia; Josefa Torres, 78, of Jamaica, New York; and Denny Estefany Martinez, 25, of Jersey City, New Jersey, according to a Virginia State Police statement.

The injured passengers remain hospitalized with serious injuries at Fredericksburg, Richmond and Hopewell medical centers.

The Virginia State Police Motor Carrier Safety Team has determined that no mechanical errors or malfunctions led to the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are also conducting investigations into the fatal bus wreck.

The Sky Express driver of the bus, Kin Yiu Cheung, 37, of Flushing, New York is being held on a $3,000 bond at the Pamunkey Regional Jail in Hanover County, Virginia.
