In addition to the reasons on why more women are childless, is because more women are educated, feeling empowered and are making careers for themselves before having children. I am only 24-years-old, but I am the only one out of my friends who is “childless.” This is because I wanted my college degree, to have my life together, find the right husband, and feel fulfilled in what I’ve wanted to do before becoming a parent. Having children wasn’t the #1 priority for me until later on in life.
