I understand the logistics of not being able to separate the different drinks when it comes to food stamps, but regardless soda is a luxury and shouldn’t be allowed to be purchased with food stamps in the first place. Soda is not a necessity, therefore should not be eligible for food stamps. As for the obesity argument, I believe banning soda would do little to help fight obesity. Too many lower priced foods pack more sugar and fat than soda, which likely adds on the weight to people.
