Los Angeles – Prosecutors have reportedly rejected a potential burglary case against actress Lindsay Lohan. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), prosecutors determined this week that the “Mean Girls” star would not be prosecuted in the case involving items missing from a Hollywood Hills home where she was previously a houseguest.
The home owner, who is a reported longtime acquaintance of Lohan, purportedly expressed to authorities that he did not wish to pursue a case.
A prosecution memo pertaining to the charges is quoted by the AP as stating of the matter, “We do not have sufficient evidence to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Lohan’s spokesman, Steve Honig, is further quoted in the report as stating, “Lindsay is glad this matter has been cleared up so she can focus on her upcoming projects.”
