Akron, Ohio – An Ohio teen suspect in the killing of three men who were lured by their attacker with fake Craigslist job ads says he participated in the plans of his co-defendant out of fear for his own life. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), 17-year-old Brogan Rafferty testified at his murder trial on Tuesday, stating Richard Beasley, 53, issued indirect threats against him and family members if he failed to remain silent about the killings.
Three men were shot and killed and one wounded as a result of a robbery scheme in which they responded to a Craigslist ad for employment at an Ohio cattle farm that didn’t really exist.
If convicted, Beasley may be sentenced to death. Raffety, charged with aggravated murder, faces life imprisonment without parole if convicted.
