Syracuse, NY — The victim of a Binghamton University construction accident has been awarded a $2 million settlement, reports WBNG.com.
The construction accident took place in June 2, 2010, which caused David Stauber, 42, to suffer a broken elbow and traumatic brain injuries that have caused persistent headaches and dizziness since the accident over two years ago.
Stauber was working with five other men at the Delaware Hall dormitory in Newing College when the scaffolding bridge Stauber was on fell almost 70 feet from the fifth floor.
The scaffolding was reportedly put together just one day prior to the accident and collapsed within the first few hours of use.
LeChase Construction Services LLC was ordered to pay the $2,007,658 judgment, which compensates for past and future trauma as well as any lost income Stauber has incurred.
