Jackson, Miss. – A plane crash in Mississippi has left three people dead and another person injured. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a single-engine Piper PA-32 crashed into a west Jackson home shortly after take-off, killing all passengers on board and injuring a woman who was inside of the home at the time.

The victims in the crash were flight instructor John Edward Tilton Jr., W.C. Young, and David Williams, all three of whom were CAP pilots, but not on official business at the time of the flight.

Roger Latham, who had considered accompanying the men on the flight to a Federal Aviation Administration conference, is quoted by the AP as stating of the accident, “We had three great men who lost their lives…I just want to wake up in a while and say, ‘This didn’t happen.”

National Transportation Safety Board investigators were reportedly at the scene Wednesday.
