Driver linked to Las Vegas restaurant crash admits to drug use

Las Vegas – A driver who crashed into a Las Vegas restaurant admitted he had used drugs without a prescription. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the 18-year-old driver, Gage James Lindsey, was being held on multiple charges in the Clark County jail following his arrest.

Lindsey reportedly plowed into the Egg & I restaurant around lunchtime on Monday. Ten people were said to be seriously injured in the accident. According to a police report, one side of the restaurant building was “on the verge of collapse” after the crash snapped one of the main support beams.

A passenger was also in the vehicle with Lindsey, 21-year-old David Roldan. Roldan has reportedly not been charged in connection with the crash.
