Mercer County, P.A.—A two-vehicle accident involving a horse-drawn Amish buggy and a truck, left a mother and daughter dead on Saturday, November 30, 2012, about 60 northwest of Pittsburgh around 5:30 p.m., reports the Miami Herald.
According to officials, the collision left 34-year-old Mary Byler, of New Wilmington, and her 11-year-old daughter, whose name was withheld, dead. The Mercer County Coroner Brad McGonigle pronounced them dead at the scene.
Byler’s husband, William Byler, 35, was seriously injured and was flown to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio, for treatment, ABC News revealed.
The condition of driver of the truck, 36-year-old Matthew Coulter, of Pulaski, is unknown at this time.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time and investigations are underway.
