Lake County Sheriff alerts Illinois SUV accident attorneys- A crash involving a GMC Yukon and a Honda Odyssey injured five people.
Chicago, IL—Five people were injured in unincorporated Barrington after a two-vehicle crash. A Honda Odyssey and a GMC Yukon collided on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 around 6:41 p.m., on West Northwest Highway (Route 14), as reported by the Sun-Times.
Lake County Sheriff officers responded to the scene of the two-vehicle crash and reported five people were seriously injured. A Honda van reportedly was turning south from Pepper Road onto eastbound West Northwest Highway, when it hit a westbound GMC SUV. Police officials stated, upon arriving at the scene of the wreck, they discovered two of the occupants of the Honda were lying on the ground, and may have been ejected out of the vehicle due to the impact of the crash.
Additional occupants of the van were also discovered lying in a ditch alongside the roadway. The two remaining victims were walking around when rescue crews arrived. No on traveling inside the GMC Yukon sustained injuries in the collision. Emergency medical services (EMS) crews rushed the injured victims to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, Advocate Good Shepard Hospital in Lake Barrington, and St Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates for treatment of their injuries. Police officials are conducting a full investigation into the two-vehicle crash.
