Greenville Police Department alerts South Carolina automobile accident lawyers- A crash involving a Honda Civic left a toddler dead.
Greenville, SC—A toddler was killed after she was ejected in a three-vehicle crash, which sent six people to the hospital. The fatal motor vehicle collision (MVC) happened on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 around 9:30 a.m., on Pendleton Street where Easley Bridge Road turns into Academy Street, as reported by the Greenville News.
The Greenville Police Department reported a black vehicle was traveling away from the downtown area on Pendleton Street when the car hit the passenger side of a Honda Civic that was traveling in the opposite direction. One of the cars spun out-of-control and hit a Jeep. The Honda was transporting two adults in the front seats along with a toddler and two infants in the backseats.
The black car was only transporting the driver. The toddler, Destiny Smith, of Greenville and one of the infants were ejected from the vehicle on impact. Six people were transported by area emergency medical services (EMS) teams to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment. Destiny passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital where her injuries proved fatal. The identities of the remaining victims have not been released at this time. All of the sustained injuries were described as non-life threatening. The Greenville Police Department is reportedly investigating the fatal crash. No charges have been filed at this time in connection with the collision.
