Los Angeles, CA—Three people who were involved in a three-vehicle crash were killed after they got out of their cars to exchange information, when they were involved in a second wreck. A fourth car then slammed into them as they were standing outside of their vehicles, as reported by MSNBC.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated the accident occurred around 2:10 a.m., on Sunday, May 23, 2010 on U.S. 101 in the Sherman Oaks district.
A 2000 BMW reportedly slammed into the three cars, as three male drivers and one female passenger got out of the cars to exchange information. Two men and a female were killed in the crash.
CHP officers reported that one of the drivers of the three vehicles managed to escape injury by running toward the right shoulder. The driver was identified as Sun Valley resident, Antulio Aju, 30.
Santiago Vasquez, 24, of Hawthorne; Neil Hillan, 47, of North Hollywood; and Norma Najera-Villeda, 41, of Inglewood, all were tragically killed in the wreck.
The driver of the BMW, Haik Madoyan, 25, of Glendale, suffered injuries in the crash. The CHP arrested Madoyan but did not state the reasons why.
The CHP is still investigating the multiple fatality wreck.
