New York Motor Vehicle Accident Lawyers Issue car wreck notice of a 2-car accident on Route 16 where a pickup truck crashed into car pulling out of the driveway killing 1 driver.
Erie County, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A man from Holland, New York suffered life-threatening injuries when he backed out of his driveway and another vehicle crashed into him Monday evening, reported Buffalo News.
Police arrived on the scene with Emergency Medical Personnel(EMS) to treat survivors of the two-car wreck. The man from Holland was identified as 38-year-old, Steven Avery who was severely injured when the pickup truck slammed his car pulling out onto Route 16, stated Authorities.
Steven Avery was transported via Emergency vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Buffalo New York where he was treated by nurses and doctors until he was declared dead that night.
Officials announced that Steven Avery failed to yield to traffic when he pulled out onto the main road. The pickup truck, heading southbound towards Avery, attempted to turn sharply to dodge the vehicle when he ended up crashing into the drivers side.
The truck driver identified as 51 year-old George Misiak, also from Holland, suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Erie Medical Center where he was discharged soon after. Misiak had 4 passengers in his vehicle. It has not been reported as to whether any of the 4 passengers were injured in this fatal crash. Investigation is still underway.
