San Jose, CA–San Jose area family friends held a vigil at Valley Medical Center for 18 year-old Jessica Huse who remains in critical condition since the car she was driving was struck by another motor vehicle on Sunday, August 2, 2009. As reported by the San Jose Mercury News, Huse, a Valley Christian High School graduate was driving to Sunday services at Twin Oaks Church when she was struck by another automobile.
According to San Jose police officials, Huse was stopped on Calpine Drive in San Jose in her 2001, green Volkswagen bug. The teenage driver was turning left onto Blossom Hill Road at about 9:40 a.m. When a mother driving east in a 1998 Toyota Corolla, with her two children, hit the driver’s side door of Huse’s car. Both the 35 year-old mother and her two children were treated and released at a local hospital. San Jose police investigators state no tickets or citations were issued and neither speed or drugs and alcohol appear to a factor in the serious automobile accident.
