New Jersey Motor Vehicle Accident Lawyers report 5 vehicles collided at the same intersection within the hour injuring 6 in Pittsgrove Township.
Salem County, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – In Pittsgrove Township, 2 motor vehicle wrecks occurred at the intersection of Gershal Avenue and Landis Avenue Thursday afternoon, announced Today’s Sunbeam.
The first crash occurred in the mid-afternoon when one vehicle plowed into another approaching the intersection. The first driver was attempting to turn onto Gershal Avenue when he crashed into another vehicle injuring both drivers.
Both drivers and three passengers were injured in the crash. Officials reported that one man was rushed to the Cooper University Hospital for serious injuries. Emergency medical services transported two of the injured to South Jersey Health-care Regional Medical Center. Another adult traveling in one of the vehicles was taken via trauma helicopter to University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey,reported state authorities. Another injured adult was transported to Regional Medical Center in Vineland to be treated by doctors and nurses for their injuries. Authorities have not released information about the condition of the 5 people injured in the serious accident.
Less than an hour later, Police officials responded to a crash at the same intersection for a 3-car wreck. The 3-car accident began when a 2008 Mercedes hit a 1998 Ford van from behind then launched forward into an SUV. Police officials and medical personnel reported 6 adults and 3 children involved in the 3 –vehicle collision. One person was taken to Regional Medical Center for safety precautions. Police continue to investigate in order to determine the causes of each accident.
