New York Motorcycle Accident Attorneys post bulletin – Police reported a Lebanon motorcyclist was killed in collision with a pickup truck in Manor Township in Lancaster County.
Kawasaki motorcyclist was fatally injured when he swerved into northbound lanes and crashed into a pickup truck.
Lancaster County, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A resident of Lebanon, New York was fatally injured when he crashed his Kawasaki motorcycle into a pickup truck Sunday evening in Manor Township, announced the Intelligencer Journal.
The man in the pickup truck has not been publicly identified as of yet. The operator of the motorcycle was identified by police as 45-year-old Kevin Rogers, resident of Hershey, who was declared dead at the scene of the accident by a Lancaster police Coroner.
Kevin Rodgers was heading southbound down on Safe Harbor Road on his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle, when he jumped into the northbound lanes of traffic and crashed into a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was identified as 48-year-old Nelson Shaiebly, resident of Conestoga.
The force of the crash between the two vehicles ripped the motorcycle into two pieces. The Lancaster Police Department will continue to investigate the crash to determine the possible factors involved in this fatal accident.
The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ has developed a Motorcycle Safety Program to inform and educate motorcyclist on how to be more cautious riders and more safety when traveling on the road way.
